Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck’s $60,850,000 Beverly Hills Estate

Over the past couple of weeks – reports surfaced that actress and entertainer Jennifer Lopez – along with her husband, actor Ben Affleck have been looking to expand their real estate portfolio and are currently house shopping in New York City.

In May of 2023 – Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck bought a massive French-Inspired estate in Beverly Hills for $60,850,000 - after nearly 2 years of searching for the perfect home.

The property is dubbed The Wallingford Estate, and it was originally built in the year 2000. The property was owned by Curtis Somoza – who actually bought the estate in 2004. Curtis found himself in some legal trouble and was sentenced to 25 years in prison for his involvement in a $64 million-dollar Ponzi scheme. Curtis had already begun a major renovation on the original French inspired residence – that was later completed by Korean businesswoman Jeoung Lee in 2015.

The Wallingford Estate was purchased and revamped by Developer Asher in November 2016. The property would go on and off the market and saw a couple of price reductions until it was sold to J.Lo and Ben.

Sources state that the couple paid cash for the property and essentially scored a deal. The newly rebuilt and expanded – Wallingford Estate was initially put on the market for $135 million.

It’s said to be one of the most private and secure estates in Beverly Hills – all entrances can only be accessed through private and gated streets.

Spread over 5.2 acres and offering direct mountain views – the estate reportedly is 38,000 sqft and has 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms.

The property has a 5.300 square-foot master suite, cinema, wine room and a whisky lounge.

Built on a promontory - the stylish estate overlooks a 155 ft long zero-edge pool that perfectly frames the views of the resort-style backyard.

There’s an indoor sports complex with basketball, pickleball, gym and a boxing ring – and to tie it all together, there’s even a sports lounge with a bar.

Another property highlight is the spa – it has a hair and nail salon, sauna, massage room as well as a stylist area. A 5,000 sqft guest penthouse sits towards the front of the property along with a caretaker house and a 2-bedroom guardhouse.

Parking should never be an issue being that there’s a 12-car garage and overall enough parking for 80.
